Hop to It….. It’s Easter already!!
It does seem a little bit early to be making things and for Easter…. the Easter Eggs have been tucked away in the supermarkets since November-heck, they’ve been on Sale since before Christmas last year!!… the celebration weekend begins with Good Friday on 3rd April….. if we don’t do anything until the April retreat….. thats too darned late! So, better to be early and ready with your gifts…. than late and not finished!!
We have a ‘bundle’ of goodies for you to make this month….. with so many new members who haven’t made some of the projects….. we’ve re-designed them…. and bought some fabulously lovely fabric too!, although of course – you might wish to use your own!! Sew…… sit back & prepare to be amazed…… Everything is included in your kits.
We have A Drawstring Bag – it’s a Bunny Bag! its got ears!! or you could make it without for a gift bag!]. adjust the sizing, it could fit…. well anything really! make it lots taller and it would be a bottle bag !! Its all about learning the principle of making a draw string bag that’s important – you never know when you’re going to need a drawstring bag!
The 2nd project – yes two projects! The second is the Pocket tray – such a fabulous item for a gift….. this time in a gorgeous Easter Egg fabric……with more & more Chocolate Eggs coming with no packaging…. You can make a gift to impress! [Now there is limited Easter Egg fabric – first booked will get the fabric – we haven’t started measuring yet, so not too sure how many we will get out….. but we’ll let you know!! there is quite a bit tho!!]
Now, sad to say you don’t get the Easter Eggs to go with the project…. you’ll need to add your own! But then everyone chooses different flavours – right? !! You could have Cream eggs or Little eggs, the sugary ones or the chocolate ones….. maybe put a bigger egg in the centre….. You could use these on your countertop for Real Eggs! [apparently you’re not supposed to store them in the fridge!]
Sew, Hop off to book your place .. as ever – you can do your own ‘thing’ of course…. Everything you need for the two Projects is included in the kit! Bargain!! …. However, IF you should want to make more of the Bowl or the bunny bags – and frankly why wouldn’t you??? – we will have spares of the bits for you to purchase! [just so you know – the interfacing in the bowls is medium weight papery interfacing – and in the Bunny Bags is G700 – both are available in the club shop]
There will of course be The Retreat De-Stash so you bring all the things you found or forgot last month!!
Don’t forget your lunch, your covered travel mug & bring CAKE!!
