Everyone can do this one!  Sewists, Crotcheteers, Knitters, x-Stitchers…… it’s a great project for you all…… Christmas is just [depending on which date you look at this] 70 days away!!!  thats 9 Saturdays!! … just 2 more Retreats [This one & December!]. Eeeek!!!

We last made Pom Pom wreaths in 2023!, don’t know about you, but mine is looking pretty tatty now…. time for a refresh – and lots of ladies haven’t made them before….. so here we go….. lots of ideas, we’ve made a sample selection, Green ones with holly leaves added, or White Snowballs with lights!, Multicoloured ….. an all year round version possibly?; There’s a ‘Christmas pudding version…. [although we do have to be honest, finding Brown yarn has proved to be extremely impossibly difficult!!], There’s the red/black & white one to represent Santa!, you could use mixed Reds/White & Greens….. or maybe a dark colour with a white base and a snowman!…… there’s mixed browns and tans with a red nose and antlers!!

We’re sure you’ll come up with something amazing…… have to confess, we are kindov addicted to making them now!!

We also have some balls of yarn, not huge amounts which we’ve bought …… We’ve got a few black & red, even some white!  it’s £1.50 a 100g ball.

AND because we know you are going to get addicted to these, we will have spare rings to purchase…. they’re 60p each

What is in your ‘kit’….. The metal 10″ ring & a set of Pom Pom makers…… and there’s even a set of the teeny tiny fairy lights….. they’re battery operated [on a flat watch type battery]  and we will have lots of scrap fabric that you can cut or rip into strips to cover your wire ring.

What you need to bring:- The yarn basically….. you need approximately 3 x 100g balls to make the wreath…. more if you’re going all fancy schmancy!, less if you do the simple white Pom Pom one!  [if you get a shivvy on, you can make 12 pom poms in just over an hour! This project will not take all day!!! – so you’ll need to bring other things!!! some of your UFO’s maybe?!!]

• If you want to make the green one with lots of holly leaves and additional small red pom poms, we do have some packs of holly leaves & pom poms – but not many….. you will need to message us to ‘book’ them.  [pack of holly leaves and pack of small red pom poms £5]
• If you make the Santa style one [in red/black & white] you will need a buckle….. Gold or Silver….. I used card for mine!
• If you choose the Reindeer one with the red nose and antlers….. you’re going to need to bring a set of Antlers!!  [I cut up a headband for mine!]
• If you make the Christmas pudding one….. we will have a limited amount of green & red felt to cut your leaves & berries from.

So looking forward to seeing what you make…… we’ll hang them on the wall for pictures!  this could be fun!
