‘Overall’ its a Great ‘Cover-Up’ – it’s an Apron!  you’ve been asking for this one for ages…. a very simple cover up Apron …. no ties or buttons or fixings  needed….. add a pocket – could be straight or curved – it could be two pockets!!  or not – as you wish!

It comes in 3 sizes… size 1 is a 10-14,   size 2 is a 16-20,   size 3 is a 22-26 but all the sizes are adjustable……lengthwise and widthwise on the side seams….

YOU WILL NEED:- 2 meters of fabric for the apron & a fat quarter of a contrast fabric – if you want a contrast & if indeed you want a pocket; [there is enough fabric left over from making one side of the apron if you want to use the matching fabric for your pocket/s ]…… & you’ll need thread….. That’s it!!  Thats all you need!  ……And if your fabric is directional – you will still only need 2 meters.   [Now, you can if you wish make the Apron reversible with another patterned fabric… in which case you’ll need to add another 2 metre length to your list!!].  [Reversible apron needs 4 meters of fabric + pockets]

IN YOUR KIT:  will be Brown Paper for the pattern & a length of  a grey backing fabric…

You are going to need to do some ‘homework’ – WE ONLY HAVE 1 MASTER COPY OF EACH SIZE of the pattern…. so if its at all possible you need to come to club to draw out your pattern & try the sample aprons on for size…… you can then take away your pattern…    you need some space to draw it out see! & to maybe cut out your fabric!! the stitching of the apron is Really simple… in fact that’s the simplest part!!

This style of Apron reminds me of the love scene towards the end of  ‘Sense & Sensibility’ between Miss Elinor Dashwood and Mr Edward Ferrars….. .. ahhh!  do love a good period drama!!  mind you…. they had frills all around the edges!!
